You'd have to be living under a rock not to know about Anthropologie if you're into home decor!

The brand was founded in 1992 by Richard Hayne, who named it Anthropologie after his college major in Anthropology, but this wasn't Hayne's first business venture.

Before Anthropologie, Hayne had successfully created Urban Outfitters, (which is also part of URBN brands, that include Free People, BHLDN, and Terrain).

But Hayne, along with his wife and friends had outgrown it, wanting to find a new project to reflect their current lifestyles and appeal to a slighter older demographic between 30-45.

After enlisting the help of Ron Pompeii, the creative visionary for Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie, they embarked on a two-year “cultural odyssey” visiting museums, cultural events, exhibitions and outdoor markets.

The result? A carefully curated mix of clothing, beauty and wellness, accessories and gifts too - all taking inspiration from the “worlds of fashion, art and entertaining”.

Anthropologie now has over 200 stores across the US and 12 in the UK.

As easy as it is to fall in love with literally everything from Anthropologie, you’ll soon discover after a quick browse through their website, that there is something you don’t like so much - the prices!

I wouldn’t say that the prices are astronomical, but in this financial climate, it might be hard to justify spending £450 on a mirror, even the Evil Queen from Snow White would give you the side-eye!

But, I have found 15 gorgeous home-ware finds from Anthropologie that are each under £150.

So you can give your home that uber-stylish injection it’s been needing without leaving your purse dry.

1. Marguerite Organic Sateen Duvet Cover, £128 - £148

Floral Duvet Cover from Anthropologie

Just perfect for springtime!

The vibrant floral blooms on this pretty duvet set will leave you feeling refreshed when you wake up in the morning, along with it being 100% breathable organic cotton sateen.

2. Wear the Walls Laney Lamp Shade, £128

I don’t usually decorate with black but I do love the ornate botanical print depicting swaying palm trees against the “carbon” background on this lampshade.

3. All Roads Primrose Throw Blanket, £118

thick striped throw blanket from anthropologie

This stunning blanket is giving me boho-chic vibes!

The thick and tasselled sofa or bed adornment was created in collaboration with “All Roads Design”, a functional decor studio that specialises in custom-made furnishings and creative art pieces.

4. Rosamund Indoor/Outdoor Pillow, £58

Crafted from outdoor-friendly materials, this colour-splashed striped bolster cushion will inspire envy at the summer BBQ or simply enjoy slouching on it in any indoor living space.

I love the tassels on this cushion!

5. Bumblebee Vanity Wall Light, £98

This cute bumblebee lamp will instantly add charm to a living space and not just for the bedroom or living room.

This beehive-inspired light fixture has been “damp-rated”, so it can be installed in a bathroom and outdoor spaces too.

6. Maiko Jacquard-Woven Curtain, £78

The curtains that I see online are almost always too short for me since I need curtains with a drop length of at least 3 metres, but that doesn't stop me from admiring them!

These Jacquard-woven curtains are as stylish as they are practical.

7. Hand-Tufted Aurora Viscose Rug, £68

If you like bold patterns and prints including large florals, then your living space will blossom with this pretty and plush wool rug reasonably priced at just £68.

8. Citron Terra Pitcher, £36

yellow pitcher from anthropologie

I can just see this being used in summer garden parties to pour refreshingly lemonade for guests - it even looks like a big lemon.

I love the black detail on the handle and spout as well as the hand-glazed finish!

9. Leanne Simpson Lemons And Limes Wall Art Print, £58

Another refreshing item from Anthropologie.

It’s amazing how easily wall art can invigorate your home’s decor and brightly-coloured pieces of art do that the best.

This illustrative “lemons and limes” wall art print is available in a gold or honey frame.

10. Mesa Pot, £24

This textured plant pot is strongly influenced by ethnic design. It has been hand-painted in dark turquoise but is also available in ivory.

Because of its ornamental aesthetic, it might be nice to display it on a shelf or coffee table.

11. Insight Canape Plate, £14

This decorative plate will give a “globally-inspired twist to your tablescape”.

I love dinnerware or ornaments that accent with gold, so this plate (set) would look right at home in my display cabinet/sideboard.

This plate is available in sapphire (right) and in white (left).

12. Thea Wall Mounted Wine Rack, £62

Simply mount it to the wall to save space. The perfect storage solution for the wine aficionado!

The sleek metallic finish and geometric design would compliment a modern kitchen.

13. Marian Cake Knife, £10

Floral cake knife

A beautiful cake deserves a beautiful cake knife right?

You know me, I love a floral design, so I think this “decaled” stoneware would look gorgeous in my kitchen.

If you love this particular design too they have many more items just like in the “Marian” set including measuring spoons, a utensil jar, a spoon rest and a pie dish.

14. Indigo-Striped Ceramic Stool, £138

This handcrafted and glazed ceramic stool has a distinctive and striking motif that will make a statement in your garden or on your balcony.

The rattan woven handles make it easy to carry the stool to its destination, whether that’s indoors or outdoors.

15. Ring Taper Candle Holder, £56

This luxe candle holder will give a sculptural accent to any room.

I have been seeing a lot of similar candle holders lately, and I do love their unique tubular silhouette.
